What Eve does
Eve is an internal meeting assistant operated by Zeug Lab. With a calendar owner's explicit authorization, a recording bot ("Zeug Notetaker") joins their scheduled Google Meet calls as a visible participant, records audio, produces a speaker-attributed transcript, and generates an AI-written summary.
Data we access
- Google Calendar events (read-only) — via the
calendar.events.readonlyscope, used solely to detect video-conference events and schedule the bot. We never create, modify, or delete calendar events. - Account email — via
userinfo.email, to identify the connecting calendar owner. - Meeting audio and derived artifacts — transcripts and AI summaries of meetings the bot was admitted to.
- Participant emails — attendee addresses associated with the calendar event or meeting, used only to deliver meeting summaries.
How data is used
Transcripts and summaries are delivered to the calendar owner and stored in Zeug Lab's internal systems. Summaries are emailed to other participants only after manual review and explicit approval by the calendar owner. Data is never sold, never used for advertising, and never used to train models outside the processing providers listed below.
Third-party processors
- Recall.ai — meeting capture and transcription infrastructure.
- Resend — transactional email delivery.
- LLM inference providers — meeting transcripts are processed to generate summaries.
- Supabase — internal knowledge-base storage.
Storage, retention, and deletion
Data is stored on Zeug Lab-controlled infrastructure (AWS Lightsail, Supabase). Calendar access can be revoked at any time at myaccount.google.com/permissions; revoking access stops all future bot scheduling. To request deletion of a specific meeting's data, email alex@zeuglab.com and it will be removed within 7 days.
Scope
Eve is operated for Zeug Lab and its collaborators. It is not offered to the general public.
